Haiti earthquake: "People were suffering, it hurt me deep inside"

Two months have passed since a massive earthquake struck southern Haiti. In this video, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) nurse supervisor Prunau Mimose and emergency coordinator Carla Melki describe the disaster and MSF’s response.

“I didn't expect to see so many injured people. The victims were scattered in the hospital courtyard on the ground,” says Mimose. “I looked in the emergency room, it was upside down. People were suffering. It hurt me deep inside.”

MSF's ongoing response includes water and sanitation activities, mobile clinics, basic medical care, surgical interventions, and post-operative care.
