Testimony: Forced from Home by Boko Haram

Fanta Meleram, 30, lives on the outskirts of Yebi, a village in Bosso District, in south of Niger. She fled northern Nigeria when Islamic State’s West Africa Province (Boko Haram) attacked her village. 

More than 2.7 million people have been forced from their homes by violence in the Lake Chad basin, which is now the site of one of the African continent’s largest humanitarian crises.
